On May 18th, WHIN Mfg Alliance members, technology partners, and regional stakeholders gathered on a Zoom call to attend the 2021 Spring Manufacturing Alliance Summit. We had a huge turnout with nearly 60 attendees!
We were honored to have Congressman Jim Baird prepare a short video addressing our manufacturing leaders followed by a Manufacturing Alliance Member Testimony from Bob Wu of Subaru of Indiana. Next, we heard from Bryan Langley with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation on an update of Indiana’s Defense Development and how it impacts Indiana Manufacturing.
We then heard from each of our Tech Partners and got an update from both the Purdue and Ivy Tech teams. VP of Strategic Partnerships, Greg Ottinger, introduced our newest tech partner, MakuSafe and we introduced our newest pilot study, MachineMetrics.
Finally, WHIN’s Greg Jarman gave an update on our Broadband Alliance and Aerostat initiative. The Broadband Alliance will act similarly to our Ag and Manufacturing Alliances and provide broadband internet to the WHIN region!
Overall, it was a great morning full of insightful conversation and we look forward to the next summit!
